Grant Simmon
Partner
Grant Simmon is an independent industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in end-to-end event production.
Most commonly sought for his Production Management prowess, Grant has also proudly worn the hats of Producer, Designer, Director, Stage Manager, Rigger, ME, LD, Audio Engineer, Promoter Rep, Artist Relations Manager, voice-over actor, Caribbean boat captain, and DJ, throughout his illustrious career, which began at the age of 11 DJing local community events in his hometown of Bourbonnais, Illinois.
Grant tackles productions large and small with integrity and safety, whether overseeing hundreds of rigging points as Production Manager for Griz, or ensuring every detail of private performance by an A-weighted artist. His career client list includes industry leaders such as C3 Presents, Live Nation Experiential, Playa Luna Presents, and Riot Fest, where Grant has played an integral role since its outdoor establishment in Chicago in 2012.
An early pioneer in applying tech systems to the live music business, Grant created custom artist advance portals for Lollapalooza, Hangout, and Shaky Knees Festivals while managing Artist Relations in each brand early in their inception.
Grant has worked in every genre of music in all sizes of venues across the United States, internationally, and at sea. In addition to music, Grant has also managed events for the US government, sporting events such as the NFL Draft and PGA Tour, touring theater productions, and charitable fundraisers for his alma mater Northern Illinois University, where he was the recipient of the Volunteer Service Award for his contributions in event fundraising and donor cultivation.
In addition to Grant’s live production experience, he has managed the production of broadcast and live-streamed events such as the Alternative Press Music Awards and global online meetings for Fortune 500 companies.
When he’s not obsessing over sound bleed or site lines, you might find him alone, in a field, flying model airplanes and dreaming up his clients' next event.
