Rachel Lowen is a versatile producer with over 20 years of experience leading teams in event production, brand strategy, and merchandising. Rachel's eclectic resume spans numerous industries, connected by her passion to leave the world more beautiful, functional, and fun than she found it.
Rachel cut her teeth in artist management with the renowned rock band, Umphrey's McGee, where she oversaw 6X growth of the band's merchandise program and curated 100+ VIP experiences, including internationally. A champion of super-serving fans, with a curiosity for innovative revenue streams, Rachel routinely created programs that would sell out, including bespoke products, subscriptions and destination events.
Rachel has worn many hats working in live events, including leadership roles in Production, Artist Relations, and VIP Experience for some of the top brands in the world. Her robust roster of freelance roles and clients includes 10+ years in Artist Relations at Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, Creative Manager at The White House Easter Egg Roll, Production Coordinator for Riot Fest, and Executive Producer for Climate Cycle, a 65-mile cycling event benefitting STEM programming in Chicago Public Schools.
A lifelong writer with a degree in Communications from New York University, Rachel has written copy for an eclectic group of clients, ranging from The White House to Walmart.com, content creator Maris Jones, and the original sandwich blog, Unbreaded (RIP).
In 2024, Rachel founded Gopher Events, with her long-time partner in business and life, Grant Simmon. Alongside Gopher, Rachel consults music-tech startup, Virch Merch, working to expand access to merchandise for concertgoers through expert logistics solutions. You can also find her on the road as an advancer for The White House.
Rachel is a proud New Jersey native (it’s pork roll), but a happy Chicagoan since the early aughts. She has three daughters, a shaggy dog, and an insatiable appetite for empanadas.
